Along with regular teaching, the Institute also conducts co-curricular activities. The Institute conducts Seminars and Workshops regularly in collaboration with prestigious government and non government agencies. The different centers for Media Studies also occasionally conducts discussion on Contemporary issues for the students.
Institute organize guest lecturers session time to time by eminent personalities of media field. Also conduct faculty development program and refreshing course for faculty to learn advance teaching techniques.


Educational tours are special and unique in more ways than one, in that it was conducted through teaching and learning “on-wheels”. To develop skills in students to undertake research through project studies and expose them to the urbanization of rural and urban India through the prism of developing cities and industrial centres. The endeavour was a unique experience since apart from offering the students a deeper insight into the rapidly developing Indian rural countryside, it also facilitated the students to grasp the essential knowledge. Institute has conducted educational trips to places like Delhi, Agra and Narsinghgarh.


Doordarshan, Akashwani, Bhojpur , Bhimbetka, Islam Nagar, State Museum, Madhav Rao Spray Sangrahalaya.



Institute has organized state level program “SAMPADAK SAMMELAN”. Editors from prominent news papers all over M.P. and delivered speech on new challenges in media industry. It was a great opportunity for media students to interact with them. They also shared their experience with the students solved the queries and motivated them.


Students of Electronic Media Department made a documentary film on People’s Group. Duration of film is 20 minute. PIMS also made two documentary films for Eco-Tourism award 2012 organized by Madhya Pradesh Eco-Tourism Development Board. In the category of “Best conservation message” (organization) and second in the category of “Best film on Satpura Tiger Reserve” (organization). PIMS made a documentary for Teacher’s day 2013 celebration which was based on Changing Trends of Teacher in film industry.


Institute organizes sports and games activities, competitions and tournaments. Institute has also organized various co-curricular activities for media students in February 2012-13. Students participated in many competition like Cricket, Badminton, Football , Kho-Kho, Class Decoration, Antakshari, and News Anchoring, Quiz Show etc.

BASANT – 2011 -12

A cultural program celebrated in the Institute. There were Solo Songs, Solo Dance, Group Songs, Group Dance and Plays by students, Orchestra, Mimicry Show and many more.

SAMAGAM - 2012-13

An inter-college cultural fest celebrated in the University where different types of cultural program had been conducted . Our institute participated in this event.


We have been continuously winning the Ist prize in Inter College Competition of Yuva Sansad organized by Pt. Kunjilal Dubey Sansadiya Vidhya Peeth 2013 and 2014. We are also IInd prize winner in the year 2012.


Students of Print Media Department prepared a two pages news paper PRAYAS. It is totally in house production by the students. They are learning how to write and arrange the news on computer and print the paper under the guidance of faculty members.
