Business English Certificate is an International examination designed by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations to assess business English proficiency. The Certificate is recognized by the institutions and corporate world- wide. BEC is a qualification that is valid for life and can be added to your resume. PIM belongs to the network of Cambridge schools and colleges in India.
PIMR is the first management institute in Bhopal to start BEC preliminary. It helps our students to sharpen their communication skills and gives them an edge over others. It is recognized by many national and multi-national companies as a benchmark in communication skills, which is considered to be of great importance in today’s corporate world.
BEC is practical by nature, and focuses on learning to use English in real world business situations, e.g., Meetings, Presentations, and Teleconferences etc. A special faculty trained by British Council has been appointed to teach BEC. Special classes are taken to enhance the four important skills in English: reading, writing, speaking & listening. The teaching material is carefully selected in consultation with the British council and taught through modern means like LCD.
The assessment is done through Examinations taken by the British Council under strict international guidelines set by the Cambridge University. The examination papers are sent to London to the Cambridge University for evaluation. The student who clear the exams are given the BEC certificates in a special ceremony conducted by the college and the British council.
