People’s Hospital is a 1128 bedded hospital attached with People’s College of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (Presently 650 beds are operational). The Medical College and Hospital is run by Sarvajanik Jankalyan Parmarthik Nyas for providing high quality patient care through all the specialty departments established on the pattern of a teaching hospital.

Following departments are available for patient care

• The average daily OPD attendance is 950-1000 per day, Bed occupancy is on an average 83%.

• We have Eight Major Operation Theatres where 12-14 major operations are performed daily and Three Minor Operation Theatres in the OPD and Casualty area are also availble where 20-25 operations are performed daily. The OT Block has recovery beds fully equipped with Multi-para Monitors, ventilators, and Defibrillators. Surgical ICU beds is attached to the O.T. Block.

• The Hospital has well equipped ICU/ICCU/NICU/PICU.

• The Hospital has a Central Gas Supply System in OT, ICU and Wards.

• 25 Bedded Casualty with attached 3 bedded ICU and Operation Theatre is available for round the clock patient care.

• The Radio Diagnosis Department has 3 X-ray machines; two of them are with I. I. TV attachments, 5 mobile X-Ray units, one C-Arm image intensifier for OT, 2 USG with Color Doppler Machines. One CR system take cares of digital processing of images thus ensuring the highest quality for diagnosis. We are doing all special Radiological Investigations and Interventional procedures. Spiral CT scan facility is also available in the department. The Department is approved by BARC.

• CENTRAL PATHOLOGY LAB: The hospital has got a fully equipped Central Pathology Lab with Biochemistry, Microbiology, Serology, Haematology, Histology and Cytology and other routine investigations. The Biochemistry is equipped with Automatic Analyzers. The Central Collection Room is open 24 Hours.

• We have fully equipped Blood Bank Services.

• The Medicine Department has got the facilities for ECG, TMT, Spirometry and a dedicated cardiac colour USG Doppler machine is also available.

• STAFF: The Medical College & Hospital has 350 faculty staff in all the specialties, 900 non-teaching staff.

• AMBULANCE SERVICES: We have got two ambulances available for round the clock services, one of them is a Cardiac Respiratory Ambulance equipped with Transport Ventilator, Defibrillator and Oxygen Supply. The Ambulance is Air Conditioned.
