PCRT has conducted GURUJAN MEET 2010 on 19th Dec 2010. In this unanimous occasion some remarkable and valuable speeches are given by our honorable Chief Guest Mr. Anil Singh Gaur, Director, M.P State Open School, Bhopal and Prof. P.K Verma, Director General, MPCOST. Along with that some motivational and interesting talk done in the interactive session by our special speakers and councilors, Dr. Ratna Sharma (Psychologist), Mr. Parag Lautkar (Communication skills) and Mr. Piyush Dua (Physics). The objective of this meet is to motivate students by various sources and end of the day we (PCRT) succeeded. Special thanks are given by respected Principal of PCRT Dr. D.S Raghav to all our special invitee and prominent personalities for their precious time and vote of thanks are decoded by Prof. Adarsh Sachdeva to make the GURUJAN MEET 2010 successful.
Sanchetana 2010 was celebrated in People's College of Research & Technology from 11th -15th Jan. 2010. The students participated in various competitions like movie making salad decoration, Mimicry, Antakshri, Quiz, Mehandi, Rangoli,Song etc. The Annual prize distribution ceremony was held on 15th Jan 2010 at the People's Main Auditorium Dr. Vijay. K. Agrawal, Director NITTTR as the Chief Guest was present at the function. Mr. RamVilas Vijaywargiya presided over the function. The chief guest laid stress on the development of patriotic feeling in today's youth. The principal of the college Dr. D.S.Raghav informed about the various activities held in the college during the session. The students presented a beautiful cultural show which included singing, dancing and fashion show.The programme coordinator Dr.Anu Gaur gave the vote of thanks.

A Seminar on Overseas Studies was organized at PCRT on 22/05/09.the Associate Director of the Admission Overseas Consulting Group (AOCG) Mr. Subhash Pol gave an impressive presentation on the various prospects of higher studies for engineering students specially in UK. The faculties & Students benefited a lot by the seminar. Principal of the institution Dr. D.S. Raghav gave vote of thanks.

The Staff Development Programme at PCRT concluded on 29th of June 2009. It was a fifteen day programme which began on 15th of June and was sponsored by AICTE. About 25 faculty members from and outside the college attended the programme. Dr. S.K. Saxena and Dr. R.P Shivgunde from National Institute of Technical Teacher’s Training & Research Bhopal conducted the programme from 15th – 20th June which was followed by expert lectures by eminent personalities of Bhopal in the field of technical education.
The programme concluded on 29th of June 2009 in the presence of Dr. A.K.S Bhadoria, Registrar RGPV as Chief Guest and Mr.Om Prakash Singh Editor, People’s Samachar as special guest. The Principal Dr. D. S. Raghav welcomed the guests and told them about the programme. The chief guest presented certificate to all the faculty members who participated in the programme and said that such programme should be organized to update technical teachers with the latest trends and technologies. He congratulated the principal to have taken the initiative to organize such a programme at the college. A memento was presented to him on behalf of the college. The coordinator the programme Dr. Pranay Guru. Gave the vote of thanks.

The Bhopal Nodal Engineering Inter college Volleyball Tournament (Men) was organized at People’s College of Research and Technology (P.C.R.T) on 10th of November 2008.Teams from various engineering colleges participated in the tournament. The final match was played between Bhabha Engineering Research Institute (B.E.R.I)” & People’s College of Research and Technology (P.C.R.T). Director Academics (Peoples group) was invited as Chief Guest. The principal (P.C.R.T) Dr. Raghav thanked the chief guest and the members of various teams for participating in the tournament.

An orientation program was organized for the first year students on 3rd October 2008 in the People’s College of Research and Technology (P.C.R.T) campus to welcome the new students. The faculty and staff members introduced themselves and motivated the students to be regular in their studies. The main motive of the program was to address the fear and anxiety of students related to engineering courses. The program was well attended and appreciated by the students as well as parents and guardians

The Students’ Chapter of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) was inaugurated at People’s College of Research and Technology on 4th October 2008. The chief guest at the function was Mr. Ashish Dongre, Director Technical Education Madhya Pradesh. Special invite at the function was Dr. Sunil kumar, OSD, Admission & Fee Regulatory Committee, Madhya Pradesh. The chief Guest laid stress on the interaction of students with their teachers in his speech. He said that the level of education in today’s scenario depends upon this interaction. Dr. Sunil Kumar told the audience about the reasons of the increase in the fees and the regulation of fees for various courses. He also mentioned the importance of ISTE membership for technical students. He congratulated the college management for being able to inaugurate the student chapter. The ISTE Membership certificate was also released during the function. Dr. G.C. Dixit Director PG Studies People’s College of Medical Sciences & Research Center was also present in the function. the Principal of College Dr. D. S. Raghav informed the audience that the college counted in the best colleges of engineering today. He informed about the research work going on the college which is based on hydrogen fuel. This research work is proceeding with the recommendation of the CSR & D Department of People’s group. The students presented a cultural Programme at the function which included beautiful music and dance performances. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Naveen Kumar Shrivastava, Program Coordinator.

The NSS Unit at People’s College of Research and technology organized rally to bring awareness for conservation of water. The student of the college went door to door and explained the importance of water to people. All the faculty member of the college also participated in the rally. The principal Dr. D.S.Raghav said that the rally gives its contribution to the nationwide programme to conserve water.

People’s College for Research & Technology took the students of E.C Branch for an Industrial visit to the Rail Coach Rehabilitation factory, Nishatpura, Bhopal. This Factory was setup on 30th June 1989,spread in an area of 190 acres. Students learned about the different parts of a Rail Coach. They also saw the various machines used in the factory and come to know about their functioning. In the factory, the students were guided by Mr. R.S.Gupta, Senior Section Engineer & Safety In charge of the factory. The visit was organized by ISTE Students Chapter of PCRT & Centralized training & Placement of People’s Group.

On Wednesday 50 NSS Students from People’s College of Research & Technology, moved to Bhopal Lake for contributing themselves for conservation of Lake water. Student took tools for digging and worked out for lake deeping comaign. The NSS Students showed their calibre to make the Bhopal Lake clean as well as deeper to store water in abundance. On this Activity, PCRT Principal Dr. D.S.Raghav. said that this type of activity should be continued in future also for linking the technical students with social works

People’s College of Research & Technology organized a workshop on water harvesting & Management on 29th April 2009. Dr. D.K. Singh Retired Sr. DGM Chemical Department, BHEL Gave an impressive presentation on the topic. He explained the importance of water in today’s life and also told ways of conservation of water. The students interacted b asking many questions. The faculty members also participated in the Workshop. The principal Dr. D.S Raghav presented a memento to Dr. Singh an behalf of the college and gave a vote of thanks.

People’s College of Research & Technology approaches to Urga Vikas Nigam and invite renewable energy resource person for demonstration purpose of different scientific items based on renewable energy concept.
A Mobile van from Urja Vikas Nigam under the department of Renewable energy arrived at PCRT on 23/05/09 for Exhibition-Cum-demonstration for students. The demonstrator gave the demonstration for various Items like solar cooker and water heating system. It also showed how electricity can be produced using solar energy. It had a Biogas Plant which works using cow dung. He demonstrated the utilization of wind energy and Biomass for production of electricity. Along with this, it exhibited solar lamps, torches and various other household appliances which can work using solar energy. The students came to know many facts regarding how to reduce the energy consumption. The principal, Faculty & Staff of the college also appreciated the concept of the mobile van for increasing awareness among people regarding use of various energy resources.

An Orientation programme was organized at PCRT for the students of the First Year session 09-10. It was attended by students and their parents / guardians. They were given informations about the various activities of the previous years by the principal Dr. D.S Ragav. He also told about the Proposed future academic plans of the college Such as educational tour and National Level Seminar and Industrial training etc. The faculty of the college introduced themselves to the students and parents and wished them good luck. the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Pranay Guru.and program was coordinated by Dr. Anu Gour.
A Healthy talk on Cancer Awareness Programme was organized by the N.S.S Unit of People’s College of Research & Technology (PCRT). The Programme was Co-ordinated by the Doctors of P.C.D.S Bhopal. The Principal of People’s College of Research & Technology Dr. D.S. Raghav, the Director P.C.D.S Dr. N.S. Yadav and the Principal PPS, Mrs. S.K.Young were present at the function. The presentation was focused on causes and prevention of cancer especially oral cancer. The students and faculties of PCRT attended the programme and also took oath to spread this awareness among public. the harmful effects of tobacco were explained in details among the audiences The N.S.S officer PCRT Unit Mr. Vishal Rai gave the vote of thanks.
