Sarvajanik Jankalyan Parmarthik Nyas, Bhopal was registered on 17th April 2000 under the MP public trust act, 1951.The sprit of altruism that permeates the Indian psyche, led to founding of the Sarvajanik Jankalyan Parmarthik Nyas, with the mission to set up hospitals, educational institutes, shelters for the poor and underprivileged, and undertaking other philanthropic projects for the welfare of the public. The Nyas is also extending financial assistance and scholarship to the poor and meritorious students.  Under the aegis of people’s group, the Nyas has already established several health related institution such as medical college, dental colleges, hospitals, nursing, paramedic, physiotherapy and pharmacy colleges and other educational institutes, right from a public school to centers of higher professional studies. The magnificence of these institutions bears testimony to the shining vision and sincerity of purpose, which are the hallmarks of the Nyas.

THE  COLLEGE
Peoples College of medical science and research centre was established in the year 2005. It was the culmination of determined efforts of honorable Shri Suresh Vijaywargia. The idea behind this college was to provide medical education, promote health care research activities & to develop a health care hub which will cater the genuine needs of the community. Provision of critical & ambulatory care to the poorest of poor was the humble goal. LOCATION

The People’s College of Medical Sciences and Research Centre along with its affiliated teaching hospital is situated at Bhanpur, Karond by pass road, Bhopal, M.P. The college is about 5.5 Kms from the Airport and 6.5 kms from the Bhopal Railway Station.

CAMPUS
Spread over an area of about 40 acres, it is a beautifully architectured and landscaped wi-fi campus keeping in mind utility & aesthetic view. This serene, clean & unpolluted campus accommodates main college building, state of art central research lab  gymnasium, cafeteria, National Bank facility, post office, ATM service centre, residential quarters for teaching & non-teaching faculty members, day care centre, 24 x 7 in house security, police out post and upcoming recreational & family entertainment centre.

Wi Fi CENTRAL LIBRARY
Situated on the ground floor of main college building & provides excellent environment for academic growth of the students. The total surface area of the library is 2400 sq. mtrs. & at present there are 13075 books and 118 National and International journals. In addition to this, 40 computer’s with internet facility, academic CD’s, Audio-visual aids and separate units for students, staff are provided. In the library two separate reading halls for students remain open for 24 hours. On line full text more than 1400 Medline Journals along with skill lab.

AUDITORIUM & THE LECTURE HALLS
The 6 Lecture Halls are air – conditioned and well equipped with sophisticated audio – visual teaching aids with  separate Medical Education unit. 1 Lecture Hall is located in Peoples Hospital also.
 There is a beautiful, spacious air-conditioned, state of art auditorium with all modern gazettes, equipments, audio-visual aids with a seating capacity of about 800 individuals.

HOSTELS
There are 3 separate blocks for boys and girls, 2 blocks for Interns & 2 blocks for P.G. Students, each block has got 48 rooms to accommodate 96 students. The rooms are well ventilated and designed for twin sharing with attached bathrooms and balcony. The hostel messes and Indian coffee house on campus provide variety of meals and fast-food. The hostels are equipped with water purifiers, water coolers, entertainment facilities, gymnasium, in-door games facilities. They also have round the clock security and communication facilities.

PEOPLE’S HOSPITAL

People’s Hospital is located in an area of 5.39 acres. The constructed area is 50, 641.08 Sq. mts. The Hospital has been designed for 1128 beds spreading over five blocks. At present 830 beds are in operation in four blocks. The hospital provides modern diagnostic and treatment facilities

• Emergency services and trauma care are available round the clock with latest diagnostic and treatment facilities and well equipped Intensive care unit.
• Specialist senior faculty members of various disciplines attend the emergencies.

Multiple super specialised services available are Neurology, Cardiology, Urology, Psychiatry, Neonatology, Laparoscopic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Spinal Surgery, Micro Laryngeal Surgery, Facio Maxillary Surgery, Reconstructive Surgery, urosurgery etc. A ‘state of art’  Hi-tech individual super specialty hospital shall be taking total shape very soon.
