Activities of the department of Public Health Dentistry

1. World Health Day 2011

Distribution of the brochures containing the myths and facts about antibiotic use in colleges of health and allied sciences.

Essay writing competition for the students and Interns of P D A on the topic “ Misuse and Over use of antibiotics” on 9th April 2011

Awareness campaigns as well as oral health check up at SOS village, Khajuri Kala and Government Disha Aavasiya Bridge course centre, Bhopal

Orientation Lecture by Dr. Bipa Mazumdar, Prof and Head, Dept of Pharmacology, PDA, for the students, interns and staff of PDA. The lecture was presided over by Dr. M K Gupta, Dean, People’s Dental Academy.

2. World No Tobacco Day 2011

Health education on the ill effects of tobacco to a group of village folk at Paradiya Jaat, Bhopal and Govt Polytechnic college, Bhopal.

Cultural events:

College every year conducts cultural events in the month of December. Various competition like singing, dancing, short skits, painting etc are held.

Sports:

College every year conducts sports competition where students participate in various indoor and outdoor sports
